Roman Signer is one of the most distinctive contemporary artists. With his action sculptures, videos and installations, he is in a unique position. Signer presents the relationship between cause and effect in a humorous manner as artistic versions of scientific experiments. 

In doing so, he handles risks masterfully and confidently.  
 

	Roman Signer Born in Appenzell in 1938, he lives and works in St. Gallen.  Signer has exhibited at the Venice Biennale, at the Solothurn Museum of Art, in London, Berlin, Vienna, Paris, Santiago de Compostela and in many other locations.
